Kayak Transport in New Zealand
NZ can be difficult to transport new kayaks around.
Flow Kayaks is not liable for damage in transit and delivery of new kayaks so please ensure that you have insured your new boat appropriately before it is collected by anyone, including yourself.
Sometimes, it may be possible for a staff member of Flow Kayaks to deliver your boat part of or for the complete journey. In which case then the statement above still applies.
If you are interested in purchasing a new Flow Kayak we may be in a position to help out so please don’t hesitate. Between us we travel a lot.
If we can’t, here are some other suggestions.

Visit Roofspace
Roofspace NZ are an NZ start up that we’ve had frequent contact with since their inception. A great initiative, accessible and affordable. Help this service grow by using it.

Visit Wisemove
We haven’t had any experience with Wisemove. Let us know how you get on so we can potentially recommend it in the future.

A few tips if you are going down this track:
1) Fragile sticker it to kingdom come
2) It’s recommended that its in a crushproof crate (Theses can add up $4-$600 to start and then same again for shipping)
3) Request it be a “topload” but be aware of industrial ratchets.
We see this as too risky for a composite kayak and unless crated Flow doesn’t recommend traditional freight.
