Experienced Composite Technicians
We fully respect all the experience that comes to work with us at Flow. We love learning the lessons of others and experimenting with new ideas. Research and Development is an ongoing rhythm at Flow Kayaks and in our new facility we have space to dedicate to it. We also respect that humans are just that and are more than happy to have discussions around working in with your lifestyle where it may have proved difficult in the past.
Full time / part time we’re open to ideas. Just don’t try and sell us your children.

We love our apprentices and Flow will provide a thick and fast learning environment. Boredom isn’t an option with all the different componentry, techniques and products that we produce.
We currently have an apprentice studying Level 4 Composites from scratch and learning fast almost instantly becoming a highly valued member of the team.
If you’re keen to learn and grow a career with a positive attitude, punctuality and drive to grow then you’ll fit right in.

One of our graduates, who has been a valuable member of our manufacturing team has decided to move overseas.
This has opened up an opportunity for someone to join our exciting company and contribute to our journey towards building top end kayaks, Ocean Skis and paddles using Carbon and Kevlar in Christchurch.
If the thought of working in composites, building products that are not only top quality and beautiful but also offer exceptional performance on the water, appeals to you then contact us to discuss joining our team.
We can accommodate individuals with a range of experience from entry level to skilled composites technicians.
We are looking for people with loads of enthusiasm, a passion for the sport, and as a bonus, knowledge of composites. Don’t worry if you don’t have any knowledge in composites – we will train you.

Composites Technician
Work available in all aspects composite boat building from mould preparation to final finishing and polishing. We manufacture all the composite components at our factory in Wainoni using carbon, kevlar, carbon/kevlar hybrid, and polyester resin, in moulds sprayed with marine grade gel coat. The final assembly requires precision, skill, attention to detail, using parts sourced primarily from other NZ manufacturers. We offer full training and the opportunity for an apprenticeship.
